Muscle Building Diet

Muscle building diet is very important that numerous books and other related resources are written about it. It is not just about food that muscle building relies on heavily. It is eating the right food with the right nutritional value in required amounts with just the right frequency all throughout the day. With these three points considered altogether, the body is ensured with raw materials to grow and support the muscle building process. When your body is resting and begins to patch up torn muscle fibers (as a result of your training), it needs nutrition (protein, carbs, vitamins and essential oils) to facilitate the “maintenance” and eventual strengthening of the muscles. We might train properly and rest with the right amount of time but without proper diet the body could really not increase muscle volume.

So let us discuss first the types of food that we should NOT eat. Remember that what we are after if optimum nutritional value. Any food that lacks the “punch” to boost muscles must be avoided at all cost. Food that matters must be prioritized. Stay away from food that has too much sugar like cookies, candies, cakes and beverages like soda drinks – even those that are labeled “diet”. Steer as far as you can from saturated fat (often from fast foods).

The food that we should eat must be balanced with healthy carbs (white bread vs. wheat bread) and food rich in protein like fish (any kind of fish will do), chicken (without the skin of course), eggs (preferably egg whites) and pork and beef (choice cuts or fat layers removed). Protein is the natural building block of muscles. Without it (1 gram of protein intake per 1 pound of body weight) muscles could really never grow and will never be capable of regenerating muscle tissue.

When will supplements come in? Only when your diet plan is complete and properly implemented that you should consider buying supplements. First, solid food intake must be the first source of protein and essential nutrients. But because we want to make the whole process faster, we need to supplement our solid diet so that results are maximized together of course with proper training.

Muscle building diet is not shrouded in secrecy as many are fond of claiming. But it is just often neglected over training and sadly over supplements. So think again.
